Big Dogs Little Dogs, We Love 'em All At Uppity Pup
Saturday – Sunday
Boarding always requires a reservation, but don’t be afraid to try to make a last minute or even same day reservation.
Reservations are recommended for daycare spots. There may be times when daycare fills up and drop-ins will have to be turned away.
Make sure you have a Pet Profile and Service Agreement on file ahead of time.
All dogs, boarding or daycare, are required to have current vaccinations against canine influenza, bordetella, rabies and DHPP. If you provide the name of your vet when you make the reservation, we can call ahead and obtain your pet’s vaccination record.
We do require that the bordetella vaccination be done no more than six months and not less than 48 hours before your dog comes to daycare or for boarding.
Dogs are taken outside at least 4 times a day to relieve themselves. The area is fenced and supervised and has artificial turf for optimum hygiene.
Because we choose to do one thing and to do it well, we do not provide grooming at our facility. After a stay at Uppity Pup, you will find that your dog is less likely to come home with that “kennel smell” than from some dog boarding facilities. This is because we have a state of the art filtering system and keep our facility as clean as possible.
If you still want to have your dog groomed, there are a couple of mobile groomers in the community who are happy to come to Uppity Pup to take care of those services for you. You will need to arrange and pay for this with the groomer yourself. They are usually booked out a ways, so make arrangements early.
Our facility is over 5,000 feet which includes the office, kennel kitchen, play and recreation areas, and the kennels themselves.
We offer several spacious exercise and play areas for our guests to enjoy. Social dogs participate in supervised group play where they spend time playing with or just hanging out with dogs of similar energy level!
We know you want to know what your dogs do during the day. This is our opportunity to list and describe the different activities we provide.
5:00pm Dinner is Served
Some dogs eat only one meal a day at home; however, for health reasons we do prefer to serve their usual daily food in at least two meals.
6:00pm Individual Exercise Time for non-social dogs who do not play well in groups.
7:00pm Lights Out! Bedtime!
Having enjoyed a full day, our guests are ready for a good night’s sleep in raised kennels in our comfortable, climate controlled facility, which is electronically monitored for safety.
*The above schedule is a guideline that is subject to change. We do our very best to get each dog out for group or individual play time at least twice a day.
(Subject to change while we update the website!)
First dog & additional dogs in separate rooms $45 per night
Two dogs (sharing the same suite) $85 per night
Three dogs (sharing the same suite) $120 per night
half day, 1-4 hrs $15
full day, 4+ hrs $30
additional dogs) $19
We also have bulk daycare packages.
We prefer that you bring your dog’s food with you, but if you would like us to provide it we are happy to do so for $1.00 per meal (large dogs will be $2.00 per meal).
Meals and stuff
In order to minimize unnecessary stress to your pet, we urge you to bring food, blankets, toys and other items of comfort to your dog.
Does your dog have a favorite toy? Or a special blankie that he or she likes to sleep on? We encourage you to bring these items to help your pet adjust and feel more “at home.”
If your dog is crate trained and feels safe and secure sleeping in his or her crate, we will be happy to place it in their kennel.
*You do not need to bring their bowls as a clean, steel bowl is provided at each meal. We ask that no glass items be included in your dog’s property.
Many dogs experience intestinal discomfort if their food is changed suddenly. For this reason, we encourage you to bring your pet’s own food.
Label ziplock baggies with your dog’s name, using a Sharpie or other permanent marker that shows up well.
If there is any difference between morning meal and evening meal (portion amount, *medication or supplements added), then add an AM or PM to the baggie.
Fill the baggie with the normal amount of food for your dog’s meal, add any *medications or supplements, and seal the baggie.
It is a good idea to add an extra meal or 2, just in case you aren’t able to pick up your pet when you plan to.
*Unless you are confident that your dog will ingest all of his or her medications when eating, it is best to keep them in their original container and provide them to us, along with instructions, so we may be sure that none are missed.
